OPTIONAL FEATURE: Equipped with fixed D-rings beneath the flaps on either side, you have the option of adding stability to your ride by attaching stirrup leathers/irons or western fenders/stirrups (found HERE) making this virtually a treeless saddle! While adding stirrups to bareback pads is strongly discouraged for good reason with the lack of interior support in typical bareback pads on the market, the Macon Extra Sheepskin pad's state of the art 3-Mesh inlays and double sheepskin layer provide ample & adequate protection for the measured use of stirrups. It goes without saying that riders are encouraged to not rely on the stirrups heavily and still ride with the mindset of fluid & balanced bareback equitation.
